This is a great deal because you would normally pay $70 for just the microchip, and first visit to the vet. You get all the extra stuff for less than those two things. You will love the Good Dog training helpline—I have had many new puppy parents tell me how helpful it is.
If your pet has a microchip, the number of the chip must be directly linked to you so if your puppy is lost, you can be contacted to come pick up your puppy. This is done by enrolling the micro chip number in a recovery service like AKC CAR.
AKC enrolls any brand of microchip and provides you with peace of mind that your puppy is protected for lifetime with NO ANNUAL FEES. Their toll free number assures you that they are available 24/7 to help your puppy return home to you. Most vets charge $50 for a microchip and that is IN ADDITION to the fee you must pay to register the chip. $35 is the best value I could find and includes the cost of the chip, implanting the chip, registering the number, transferring the chip into your name, and LIFETIME registration with unlimited owner information updates.

When your puppy is enrolled in the Lost and Found program, you can update your phone and address as many times as you want with no fees (unlike other programs). You also get a collar tag with the AKC Lost and Found 1-800 number for your puppy. As a service to you, I will transfer the microchip into your name and the new collar tag will be mailed to you directly from AKC. . If your puppy is ever lost or stolen, the price of registering the microchip will seem like the best investment you’ve made.
